Digital 4n6 Journal is a printed journal publication dedicated to Digital Forensics & Cyber Security. We accept articles on topics pertaining to investigations, methodologies, security, tools and techniques, legal frameworks, judicial decisions, case studies, updates, and related technologies for all areas of cyber security and digital forensics.

We accept articles on topics pertaining to all aspects of digital forensics, cyber crime, cyber law and cyber security as well as expert testimony, chain of custody, and other issues relating to this market. Topics can include but are not limited to:

  • Policies, Compliances, Legal Frameworks
  • Discussions on technologies, products, industry trends, and solutions
  • Detailed examinations of trends and technologies in digital forensics and cyber security
  • Practical applications of tools and techniques that enable effective, efficient procedures
  • In-depth discussion on forensic facility or crime lab
  • Emerging techniques or methodologies: a look at procedures that make forensic investigations or analysis more effective and/or efficient
  • Case studies: review of proven design and operational practices that have been tested in forensic facilities or crime scenes
  • Legal/regulatory features: government, association, or industry policies that affect facilities, forensic practices, or workers

Article Queries

The article review process should begin with an abstract, then after Introduction and so on. Please state your topic and author details.

Articles must be objective and cannot promote any product / services and company or vendor specific. Contributions from technical specialists in the vendor community are welcome, but must adhere to editorial guidelines for non-commercial writing. Content must be unbiased—inclusion of brand/product names and/or endorsement of a brand/product cannot be considered.

Manuscripts or abstracts should not have been published previously and should be submitted to Digital 4n6Forensic Journal on an exclusive basis. Although exclusive submissions are strongly preferred, simultaneous submissions in noncompetitive markets may be considered with the understanding that authors inform the editors upon submission. All manuscripts are subject to review and editing. The editorial team makes all decisions regarding publication of articles.

Feature Articles

Features should provide a broad, industry‐wide look at techniques and technologies.

  • Articles should be written in third person, present tense.
  • Abstract not to exceed 100 words
  • Length: 3,000 Maximum words (Font : Arial , Font Size: 12)
  • Maximum 3-4 images/graphics to illustrate the text are recommended.
  • Text file types: Microsoft Word or Open Office Writer
  • All submissions should include the author’s name, title, author association, a max 100 word author biography, address, phone, email, and website address.
  • Authors are responsible for: all internal clearances for articles prior to submission for publication; all statements made in their work; obtaining written reprint permission for illustrations and data previously published.

Images and Graphics

  • Do not embed images separately in PowerPoint files, or emails.
  • Images should be at least five inches wide and 300 dpi.
  • Crediting information and captions must be provided.
  • Images used cannot be of a readily identifiable product in the market or not revealing any company or vendor’s vulnerable details.
  • A max of four images, figures, and tables can be used in an article.
  • An author passport size headshot is required.


  • Please do NOT use endnotes or in-text citations.
  • Note the placement of the citation with superscript 1 or in parentheses (1).
  • Works cited should be listed together at the end of the text.
  • Articles with more than 5 references will have the references listed on the online version only.
